STUNNING Sherene Fogg who was Miss Bury Journal five years ago, has won a top beauty competition and become a worldwide pin-up for the Royal Marines.
Lovely Sherene, aged 19, from Grantham Drive, Bury, clinched the title of Miss Globe And Laurel at Butlin's Starcoast World.
She was picked out of a line-up of 20 finalists to win the Butlin's Holiday Princess competition by a select panel of celebrity judges.
Sherene works as a bank clerk for the Halifax Building Society in Bolton.
She has been entering beauty competitions for many years and has won titles including Miss Liverpool and Miss Aldenhay, as well as Miss Bury Journal and now Miss Globe And Laurel.
As Miss Globe And Laurel she will cheer up Royal Marines throughout the world.
And her first assignment will be at a post in the Indian Ocean where she will visit a group of 20 marines.
After winning the title and £2000 prize money Sherene said: 'I am absolutely over the moon and I can't believe it!
"I'm looking forward to having a huge shopping spree with the money too!"
