Carnforth RFC 30 Chorley RFC 5 CARNFORTH earned a hard fought victory over Chorley for the first time and could have scored more in a game they controlled throughout.
The home backs crossed for all five tries with both wingers Phil Metcalfe and Dave Foster grabbing a brace apiece and Iain Parkinson also going over for a try.
Carnforth allowed Chorley back into the game after going 18-0 ahead but were able to regain control for a fine victory - especially after last week's crushing defeat at the hands of Keswick.
