TOUGH National Safety Awards have been given to three East Lancashire organisations.
Michelin Tyre plc of Burnley, Medex Medical of Haslingden and Blackburn Council's Economic Development Department achieved the British Safety Council awards.
To win they had to show that their accident rates are lower than average and have a good company safety policy.
The Safety Council's James Tye, said: "These local companies have set a fine example to all levels of management in all industries."
