WOULD the Editor like to explain the difference between the yah-boo journalism of the tabloids' anti-German campaign that he so roundly and rightly, condemns (LET, Opinion, June 25) and the yah-boo journalism that he prints (and, presumably, encourages) each week in the John Blunt column?

PHIL RILEY, Pleckgate Road, Blackburn.

FOOTNOTE: There is a difference between inciting xenophobic hatred calculated to raise hysteria to the point of violence (as seen on Wednesday night in Trafalgar Square) and a forthright discussion of topics in the public interests. Mr Riley may not agree with John Blunt - and I don't a lot of the time - but many people do. - Editor.
