THIEVES were spotted stealing a car stereo worth £100 from a car parked on a company car park in Ribbleton Lane, Preston.

The two men dropped their booty as they were chased off by vigilant witnesses to the incident which happened on August 8, at around 12.30pm.

They were both white, in their late 20s and slim build. The first man had brown hair and they both wore black leather jackets.

A man and a woman broke into a coach on Preston bus station and stole a gents white anorak worth about £45. The incident happened on August 9 at around 2.10am.

The man was white, with mousy hair, he spoke with a scottish accent and could possibly be called Patrick.

The woman was in her twenties, and had blond hair ties back in a pony tail. She was wearing bright yellow trousers and a green jacket.

A woman was indecently assaulted by a knife-yielding thug on August 2, in the car park of Elizabeth House in Preston.

Her assailant dragged her into the car park, put the knife to her throat and assaulted her, before he was disturbed and made off.

He was white, in his early thirties, about 6ft and had dark scruffy hair just above his collar. He was thin and wore a black jeans and a dark T-shirt under an old fashioned navy tracksuit top. He also had a pair of dirty white trainers on. He possibly had a red mark on his hand.

An Asian man grabbed an elderly woman's purse but dropped it as he was chased down an alley next to Porter Street in Preston.

The incident happened on August 10 at 12.30pm and the assailant was described as about 17 years old, 5ft 8ins tall, with short black hair and wearing white jeans and an orange/purple cagoule type jacket.
