EVER since television celebrity Ken Morley - Reg Holdsworth to you and me - threw the switch last month, the Happy Mount Park illuminations have been thrilling people of all ages. This year's lights and attractions are better than ever with the enchanting Never Never Land a big hit with the kids and the return of the Neptune display, complete with coloured fountains and the atmospheric Handel's Water Music, captivating visitors to the famous park. And while many of the attractions in the park are aimed at children, there is much to see and do for adults. That's why we've got together with the Illuminations' organisers to offer our older readers a great deal.

As Happy Mount Park Illuminations boss Nick Westwell said: "We set out to bring back some family entertainment to Morecambe when we started and this year we have built on that.

We have created this attraction from a child's point of view but it's not just for them. Everyone can enjoy this place."

So, this weekend - that's Friday, Saturday and Sunday - pensioners can receive a third off the price of admission into the park just by taking along the voucher shown on this page and proof of their age.

Once inside the park, attractions such as the Japanese Gardens, Never Never Land and the Illuminations are all free. So whether you take the grandkids with you or not, let the Citizen help you enjoy this great Morecambe evening out before the summer weather finally disappears.

The Happy Mount Park Illuminations open at 6pm every evening with the lights going on at dusk. Tickets cost £3 for adults and £2 for children.
