THE people of Lancaster and Morecambe are being called on to get involved in exploring ways to help the planet at a major conference backed by David Icke next month. The conference, set for Morecambe's Headway Hotel at the start of October, has been organised by the Planetary Aid Network (PAN) - an organisation founded by the unforgettable David Icke, new-age teacher Mike Robinson and Lancaster's Roger Hill. Six speakers, including Roger himself, will be at the 12-hour conference which is expected to be a sell-out if past projects in the area are anything to go by. PAN's aim is to bring together people who are worried about the state of the planet so they can exchange ideas and information.

Roger explained: "The welfare of the planet affects everybody. This is an opportunity for ordinary people who do care to become personally involved. If we all sit at home and curse at the things we see on television then nothing will ever change."

Speakers at the conference include:

Mike Robinson: international spiritual teacher, healer and co-founder of PAN.

Palden Jenkins: editor of the first edition of 'The Only Planet Of Choice' which was described as 'everything you wanted to know about the universe but were afraid to ask'.

Alex Wildwood: co-editor for the Creation Spirituality Journal Interchange and the founder of Everyman.

Marcus Allen: UK distributor of NEXUS magazine.

Stanley Messenger: writer and lecturer, heralded as a Tribal Elder

Tickets, at a cost of £10, are sure to be snapped up as the conference, to be held on Sunday October 6, draws closer.

Roger added: "We are expecting a massive response and once people realise the quality of the speakers we have coming to Morecambe, I am sure this will be a sell-out."

Mike Robinson will also be holding a workshop at Scotforth's Unitarian Church the day before the conference. Tickets or more details about both events are available from Roger Hill on (01524) 382373.
