URGENT steps were being taken to remove all dangerous pieces of equipment from children's playgrounds in Blackburn. The move followed a horrific accident in Hyndburn when a six-year-olds boy's leg was almost torn off after he was dragged under a roundabout.
Super snippers Andrea Thornley and Juliet Foley showed they were a cut above the rest when they scooped a top prize in a German hairdressing competition.
