AMBITIOUS plans for the development of one of Preston's most rundown suburbs was put up for public scrutiny this week at the launch of the Deepdale Renewal Strategy.
More than £12 million is to be spent over the next 10 years on revitalising the area, improving housing, roads and making it a more pleasant environment for the 6,200 residents.
Projects range from children's play areas, and forging links between schools to energy efficiency schemes and traffic management.
The Deepdale Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy has been funded by the council and local businesses.
