SPARKS are set to fly when local rivals Accrington Stanley and Great Harwood Town come head-to-head in the LFA ATS semi-final showdown.

Giant killing Harwood travel to the Crown Ground looking to add another major scalp to their collection, having already knocked out Marine and Conference league high-flyers Morecambe.

And while Accrington must be favourites for the clash, manager Tony Greenwood insists his side will have to match Town for team spirit and workrate if they are to book their place in the Deepdale final.

He said: "Just because we have home advantage doesn't mean the result is a foregone conclusion. Great Harwood have already shown they can beat anybody so we will have to be up for it."

Town manager Martin Eatough, who captained Stanley for two years in the late 80s, believes his team are under no pressure to win.

But he said: "You have to wonder how long our giant killing feats can go on. But it is a game we are not expected to win so the pressure will be off us." The February 26 clash has added spice because Great Harwood midfielder Paul Whalley is the son of Accrington Stanley chairman Eric .

Stanley travel to Hyde United on league duty on Saturday while Great Harwood entertain Bradford Park Avenue.

Darwen extended their unbeaten run to five games after the 1-1 draw against Salford. They entertain Bootle on Saturday before Tuesday's visit of Holker Old Boys.
