LEIGH are back on the Wembley beat this weekend.

Defeat against Sheffield Eagles on Sunday merely opened another door for the Hilton Park side.

They automatically went into the hat for losers other than those from the Super League.

And they will be hoping for Second Time Lucky after being drawn at home to Swinton in the first round of the Silk Cut Plate.

The inaugural competition climaxes with the Silk Cut Plate Final before the main event at Wembley on May 3.

Full draw: Hunslet v Huddersfield or Hull, Lancashire Lynx v Barrow, Hull KR v Doncaster, Bramley v Rochdale, Leigh v Swinton, Widnes v York, Workington v Dudley Hill, Whitehaven v Batley.

Meanwhile, Leigh are seeking to increase their Academy squad for Summer '97 when they will play in Division One.

Academy coach Mike Roach is confident of another successful season.

Any player wishing to take part in trials and friendly games over the next few weeks should contact secretary Eric Jones on 01942-605855.
