SKIPPER Bobbie Goulding has made his peace with Saints and withdrawn the transfer request he made 11 days ago - and the club say they are 'delighted.'

The Test scrum-half met the board of directors on Tuesday afternoon and, in confirming Goulding's wish, Saints' chief executive David Howes said: 'Bobbie has re-affirmed his commitment to our bid to retain the Cup and League titles, in which he played a major role last season. 'As skipper he also shares Saints' ambition to make an impact on Super League's global stage in the inaugural World Club Championship.

'Throughout the dispute, and in accordance with its business plan, the club has always maintained its stance that Bobbie is contracted to play for Saints for the next three seasons,' added Mr. Howes.

Goulding's agent Mike Nolan said: 'The matter has been resolved to everyone's satisfaction, and now Bobbie just wants to get on with the job of leading Saints to further success.

'He was absolutely gutted after being sent off against Wigan on Saturday, and in order to help take his mind off things Tommy Cunningham and I took him to watch the Featherstone versus Widnes game on Sunday.'

Bobbie is due to appear before the Rugby League disciplinary board in Leeds this afternoon (Thursday). He will be accompanied by David Howes and coach Shaun McRae.
