ADRIAN Heath says a little luck is what's needed for his Burnley side to get back on the promotion trail.

He's hoping for a confidence-boosting win at troubled Bournemouth on Saturday (February 15).

The squad had a two-day training break at Keele University, Staffordshire, before returning to Burnley on Wednesday.

But luck has deserted Vince Overson, whose achilles injury will put him out for the rest of the season.

He is due to have an operation on the heel on Monday, and he won't be ready for training again until July. Jamie Hoyland and Mark Winstanley, however, provide cover for first-choice central defender Peter Swan.

The latest name to be linked with Burnley is Nigel Pepper, midfielder for York City, who inflicted an unexpected and damaging home defeat on the Clarets last week.

Pepper still has more than half of a two-year deal to run, but is currently out of favour at York.

Meanwhile, Kurt Nogan no longer seems destined for a move to Hearts. Sources in Edinburgh say the deal, which at one point seemed likely, is dead and buried - possibly because Hearts have no players to interest Heath in a swap.
