COME on then Sven speak plain English, writes Neil Bramwell.

I believe that you owe it to Blackburn Rovers fans to tell them what is going on.

This paper gave you the chance to put minds at ease just this week.

But I'm afraid Rovers supporters want a little bit more than the muttered "maybes" we've been hearing.

Everyone might be jumping to the wrong conclusion, but what on earth do you expect when you have become so circumspect about the whole situation?

At the very least you are getting off on the wrong foot with the Ewood Park faithful.

Blackburn Rovers officials maintain that nothing has changed since you signed an agreement in December.

Their commitment to you doesn't seem to have wavered.

But, and it's a big but, can you say the same?

Your answers to the question of whether you will be in charge at Blackburn come June have become decidedly more woolly.

"I can't speak now."

"It is very difficult."

Such words hardly inspire faith in the face of constant speculation. I hope, Sven, that you know your own mind more when it comes to transfer dealings and team selection.

Sorry-given your record you clearly do.

But your track record also reveals that you have had second thoughts about contracts you have signed in the past.

This speculation is unhealthy - and with the Alan Shearer transfer saga in mind it has a depressingly familiar air about it.

It is up to you to bring it to an end - and the sooner the better

Idealy, Blackburn fans would love to hear you pledge your future to Ewood.

If you cannot do that now you will have to explain why you have changed your mind.

But for our sakes sort it out.

You can do it.

In my book you are the only one who can do it.
