THE anniversary of the horrendous fire bombing of the German cultural city of Dresden by British and American bombers of the Second World War was this week. I think it is just as important that the holocaust of Dresden should be remembered and the lesson of man's inhumanity to men, women and children is learned, so that such premeditated mass murder of innocent civilians can perhaps be prevented from ever happening again.

Those responsible for this war crime have never been brought to justice, while others accused of another holocaust crime have been put on trial. The fact that the Dresden fire bombing raid was carried out in the name of the British people by politicians should make us all very careful in future what kind of people we vote for to represent us in Parliament.
