BLACKBURN Hawks are going all out this weekend to end their season flying high. Hawks' form has been inconsistent this season, but they're determined to go out with a bang.

On the back of four wins in five games, and a full squad of players, manager Mike Cockayne is confident his team will help notch up a double win against Altrincham Aces (Arena, Saturday, face off 6pm) and at Murrayfield Royals (Sunday). "We can't win the league, but we can consolidate our position and get ourselves in tune for the play-offs" says manager Mike Cockayne.

"And that's exactly what we're going to go out to do. It's taken a while, but after a season which has lacked consistency we're finally proving we're one of the best teams in the league."

The inspirational Canadian Todd Bidner, whose arrival in Blackburn coincided with Hawks' return to form, is paired for the second week with player-coach Jim Pennycook, who resumed last weekend after a painful ankle injury had kept him sidelined for several months.

Cockayne's side has never looked stronger with every player fit, making it Hawks' biggest squad since the start of the campaign.

Tonight's home clash with Altrincham is the second leg of a two-stage challenge with the South Manchester side, who the Hawks narrowly beat 10-9 a week ago.

"It won't be easy - they're a very powerful side," adds Cockayne.

"But, should we win, it will be a great confidence-booster ahead of Sunday's game at Murrayfield."
