BLACKBURN Business Club is the place for business to meet business.
Established in the late 80s, it now has more than 120 members, all working to improve both their own and the town's commercial prospects.
It has three main roles. The first helps businesses to 'network' - meet with one another - providing opportunities to get together with potential customers and suppliers.
It also plays a social role, staging quiz nights and organising visits to local commercial and industrial companies.
Blackburn Business Club aims to educate, too, holding regular monthly meetings, with a variety of speakers talking on business related topics.
A monthly newletter features up-to-the-minute information about the business world.
The first business club to have its own space on the Internet, the newsletter is published on the 'web' and sent out by E-mail.
Membership also provides the opportunity to discuss any business and ideas or problems with qualified business advisers from Blackburn Enterprise Trust and other small business owners.
And an ideal way of promoting your business to the business community is offered by entry into the club's membership directory.
