BRITAIN'S women were told by the Government that they had never had it so good. Pendle Tory MP John Lee told the House of Commons, in his capacity as Junior Employment Minister, that women had far more opportunities in society.
He was defending the Government's sex equality record during a debate in which Health Minister Edwina Currie claimed it was Neil Kinnock's wife, Glenys, who was leading Labour 'by the nose.'
