QUITE rightly, Bolton West MP and Home Office minister Tom Sackville is happy that the town he represents is to be properly marked on motorway signs at last - just as Blackburn is up the road.
But as a way of stressing Bolton's merit for the same treatment, he dismisses Blackburn as "a tiny place in the middle of the moors."
This childish insult is a sign that points to Mr Sackville's ignorance and small-mindedness.
And big and important as Bolton may be, its folk might like an MP who is a bit more grown-up than silly Mr Sackville.
