If so, then you could be invited to a special reunion in Bury (full details of which we can't print because it's a surprise for a former local Army man).
If any soldier in this area, or further afield, served with the Royal Engineers and was stationed on the Christmas Island in 1957 and subsequently at Papenburg, Germany, in 1962, then please write to Dorothy Hoyle at 17 Swallow Drive, Bury.
