ARE you a dab hand at juggling? Can you walk from one end of the room to the other on stilts?

Whatever your hidden talent, if you've ever wanted the opportunity to show it off to the world, now's your chance.

Up to 100 buskers are needed to entertain the streets of Fleetwood's Freeport Shopping Village.

The 20-acre shopping and leisure park, which attracts more than three million people to the town each year, will be holding auditions next week to find Lancashire's best street entertainers.

Derek Ball, spokesman for Freeport, said: "We have employed buskers since the word go.

"They've been very popular all year round so we're looking for more.

"People come from miles around to shop here and buskers build up the fun atmosphere."

Freeport is on the lookout for bands, solo musicians, acrobats, magicians or any other performer who can put on an eye-catching indoor or outdoor act and capture the attention of passers-by.

Derek Ball added: "Anyone from a 30-piece brass band to a solo guitarist will be welcome."

Auditions will be held at Freeport on Sunday February 23 at 11am.

Buskers who are signed up for weekend or mid-week work will be given a pitch and £20 for every appearance, plus whatever they get from their audience.

Derek continued: "We want anybody with personality. If buskers are cheerful then visitors will be cheerful too."

Anyone who would like to audition for a busking job should contact Val Barton, Freeport's promotions co-ordinator, on 877377.
