The Football Association are unlikely to take any action against Bury for the attack on referee Ian Cruickshanks during last Saturday's game against Bournemouth.
They are awaiting the referee's report before they decide on a course of action but a spokesman said:
"Obviously the incident is of great concern but it appears to have been dealt with quickly. We are talking about an isolated incident, involving one fan, and it is unlikely that we will take any action against Bury."
