RADIO'S 'Mr Nasty' Allan Beswick faced the axe after shocking listeners with foul language. The controversial DJ, who hosted a popular late night phone-in programme on Red Rose Radio, was suspended after a complaint from a listener.

The Independent Broadcasting Authority was looking into claims that Beswick used four letter words after a caller made an offensive remark linking Mrs Thatcher with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.
