A NUISANCE neighbour has been ordered to leave her Prestwich home by the court.

The move was the latest in a clampdown by Bury Council.

Susan Hill (42) was ordered out of the Downham Crescent council house by Salford County Court, who granted a possession order to the council after a series of nuisance and annoying incidents involving Hill and her boyfriend, Stephen Hares.

The court also ordered Hill pay court costs of £650.

Coun John Smith, Bury's housing and environmental services chairman, said: "Taking court proceedings is not something that we do lightly but if tenants refuse to show consideration for their neighbours and continue with anti-social behaviour we will take action.

"We believe that council tenants have the right to enjoy their homes and will do everything in our power to protect that."
