YOUNG cellists can hit the high note in a masterclass led by a top musician at Ribchester Music Festival.
The masterclass, at St Wilfrid's Parish Church, Ribchester, will feature renowned British cellist Lowri Blake.
And young cellists from throughout East Lancashire are invited to apply for a place at the July 10 event.
Lowri Blake will also appear in a recital on July 9 with double bassist Peter Buckoke.
He will play too in a chamber concert on July 10th with the Nossek String Quartet.
Blake has been broadcast over 80 times and has appeared with most of the major British orchestras.
Youngsters who would like to be considered for the masterclass should write to David Brandwood-Spencer, Ribchester Music Festival, 26 The Aspels, Penwortham, Preston, PR1 9AL.
Applicants should state their name, address, phone number, music grades and any other relevant details.
