HYNDBURN Council was given permission to borrow more than £1m for central heating, double glazing, improvements to insulation, kitchens and bathrooms, providing paving and repairing outside walls in Springhill, Accrington.
Tenants of the Unity houses in Malham Avenue and Slaidburn Drive were praised for their patience during the wait for the improvements.
