THANK you for the article by Christine Rutter (LET, April 15) regarding the glasses now available for dyslexia sufferers.
I sent it to my daughter in Chester who has a dyslexic son.
She came to Bacup to obtain a pair and her son thinks they are wonderful because, to him, the words on pages now appear in a straight line.
The question I ask is: Why aren't the education authorities doing anything about these glasses?
Surely, it would be cheaper to help with the purchasing of these glasses than having to supply "special" teachers to teach these children.
As long as dyslexic children have to try to read without any visual aids, they will never learn to do it.
