St Helens Crusaders 34 Grappenhall 4 THIS North West Counties Division Six fixture was played in treacherous conditions which produced errors on both sides.
But Crusaders settled first and opened the scoring with a try from Briggs and conversion from Saunders. But then they started to sit backand Grappenhall took full advantage when they touched down from a bomb. Crusaders then knuckled down and their reward came with further tries by Format NDE man of the match Ste Capewell, Lee Lang, Ledger, Fairhurst and Saunders who also kicked the conversions. Also on form for Crusaders were Molyneux, Ledger, Hull, Yelland and Saunders.
