ROYTON TIGERS U9s 36 LEYLAND WARRIORS 28

This was an excellent game between two well matches sides and could have gone either way. Warriors tries were by Michael Wallbank (2), Craig Hewlett (2), Jamie McMillan and top tackler Lee Connick. Man of the match was Matt Shepherd and Carl Waller was awarded most improved player award.

ROYTON TIGERS U11s 18 LEYLAND WARRIORS 12

A game played in adverse weather conditions saw Warriors go in at half-time trailing 12-0, but the Leyland team rallied in the second half led by man of the match Neel Byrom who scored the team's tries. Top tackler was Wayne Standring and player of distinction went to Matt Astley. This was a good performance, let down only by some poor tackling at a critical period of the game.

LONGSHAW STREET WARRIORS U10s 26 LEYLAND WARRIORS 36

The Leyland team started strongly with tries by Jamie Glover, Martin Southwell, Thomas Halstead, Stephen McDonald and Mark Quinn whose try kept his record of scoring in the last six consecutive matches. Man of the match was Jamie Glover and top tackler was Daniel Meehan.

LANGWORTHY U13s 28 LEYLAND WARRIORS 6

Graham Lafferty scored Warriors' only try in this hard-fought game away to Langworthy, which featured some excellent rugby and fine tackling. Top tackler was Jonathon Edwards and the conversion was by Lee Beattie.

LEYLAND WARRIORS U14s 4 WEST BANK BEARS 40

Leyland put in a great performance in this challenge game between Warriors from Division Three and West Bank from Division one.

The home side worked hard throughout the match and never gave in, being rewarded with an excellent team try from man of the match Leigh Byrom. Top tackler was Gary Watts.

Warriors are now recruiting new players to train through the summer ready to play competitive rugby next season.
