THERE'S nothing queer about Ginger Beer, not when it's the Coachhouse Brewery's 5% alcohol stuff.
It took joint Beer of the Festival award at January's money-spinning Bent and Bongs charity beer bash. Sharing top honour was Burtonwood's experimental dark beer Black Parrot.
The 3.9% squawker will be among the high fliers again at this week's Wigan Beer Festival which will draw real ale lovers to the Mill at the Pier Friday (12-3, 5.30-11) and Saturday (12-4 and 7-11).
