A 'TOWERING INFERNO" terror threatened residents of a block of high-rise flats when vandals started a fire in a lift.
The flames were fuelled by foam-backed carpet jamming lift doors open at Alexandra House, Queens Park flats.
The 4am call was the third time in five months that firefighters had dealt with malicious fires at the Blackburn flats.
