FOLLOWING the recent loss of Linda McCartney, many people are considering making a donation to a cancer research charity.
I am sure that those who wish to give in Linda's memory would prefer to support those organisations which show the compassion that she showed during her life - and will avoid charities which conduct and/or fund animal experiments and, instead, give to cancer charities which fund humane, non-animal research.
But this is not a choice between animals and people, it is an opportunity to help people with relevant research and to save animals from experiments, which are, at best, misleading.
Uncaged Educational Trust is a registered charity which provides educational material on the scientific and medical arguments against animal experiments.
Our concern for human life is reflected in that UET funds non-animal research projects sponsored and conducted by other ethical charities.
Anyone wishing to find out more about the work, information on non-animal research and UET's list of charities which do, and do not, fund animal research should write to us.
