A BRAINBOX 12-year-old won her way through to the finals of a county mathematics competition.
Jennifer Laycock, a pupil at St Augustine's School, Billington, beat 17 other young mathematicians to gain her place at the BT Lancashire schools mathematics county final.
The competition was open to 16,000 year seven pupils in 100 Lancashire schools.
