WITH reference to your editorial concerning the M65 extension (LET, July 10), I am pleased for the people of Blackburn, and particularly Brownhill, that things have eased up for them.

However, you naively assume that the problem of congestion has gone away.

Unfortunately, it is like a bubble in a tube. Press in one place and it pops up somewhere else.

So please now spare a thought for the folk of Darwen.

As ever, Blackburn's gain is our loss - as anyone living near the A666 between Bull Hill and Earcroft will testify. We now need a by-pass.

M E BYSH (Mrs), Knowlesly Road, Darwen.
