TWO Labour MPs flew to head a delegation to try to protect a Euro-lifeline for jobs and industry in East Lancashire.
Burnley MP Peter Pike and Hyndburn MP Greg Pope cut short their conference activities in Brighton to meet trade and industry minister David Hamilton in a last-ditch attempt to grab government support for European aid under the Objective Two scheme.
