WHOEVER was responsible for the recent installation of speed ramps throughout Highercroft Estate has shown absolutely no consideration for bus operators.
As a result of this short-sighted planning, buses will suffer extra wear and tear, drivers' health will be put into jeopardy, delays will be inevitable and not least of all, slower-moving buses will provide an even easier target for the vandals.
A little more intelligence in the planning department would have come up with a better solution than this. In the meantime, perhaps those whose vehicles and drivers fall victim to the humps may consider taking legal action against the council.
