A COUPLE made a brief appearance in court at Burnley today charged with the murder of 53-year-old John Stoiles.
Desmond John McDermott, 31, and Tracey Maria Parker, 28, both unemployed and both of Rylands Street, Duke Bar, Burnley, were remanded in custody for seven days.
They were represented by Richard Taylor and there was no application for bail.
Mr Stoiles was found dead on the floor of his home in Ashley Street, Burnley, on Saturday, three days after he was involved in an incident in Hebrew Road, Burnley.
Police are still appealing for information about Mr Stoiles' movements between Wednesday and Saturday.
