LONG-Serving employee Ken Alderman has seen many changes at Blackburn's Bearing Power.

The branch manager, who retired this week after 33-years in the job, was first employed by SKF of Blackburn before they were taken over by the Richard Hough Group and subsequently Bearing Power.

The father-of-five, who has six grandchildren, is now looking forward to some free time with his family and wife Mavis, at their home in Nelson.

He said: "I'm not sure what my plans are as yet but I've certainly plenty to do with my family and homelife. I'm really looking forward to it."

Staff at the branch presented Mr Alderman with a picnic hamper, bottle of Champagne and other gifts while he received a gold watch from the company and a bottle of whisky from other colleagues in the firm.
