A DELIVERY van with a difference is butcher Roy Porter's classic Morris Minor Traveller which is still going strong after 28 years on the road.

He's a familiar sight in the Ribble Valley where he delivers meat from Fred Burgess Butchers, Chatburn, and the firm has used Morris Minors for more than 30 years.

Original owner Fred Burgess had ten of the cars, buying a new one every year or two, until he sold the business to Roy 14 years ago.

And Roy's continuing the tradition with his 1970 Traveller, recently featured in a classic car calendar as one of the few still used every day for business.

"It matches the business because we are a traditional butchers that sell meat the way it used to taste thirty years ago," said Roy.

"The whole family love driving it and it's never been in an accident."
