THE Burnley board AND Ray Ingleby's camp were furious about a misleading report in today's Burnley Express newspaper.
The report stated that the board had not replied to Ingleby following last week's board meeting.
Clarets director Clive Holt said: "I was somewhat surprised to see Mr Parry's comments in the Burnley Express.
"I know that a fax was sent within 24 hours of the meeting by Mr Teasdale.
"Either Mr Parry or the newspaper are providing misinformation to the fans which is a bitter disappointment in a delicate situation." And Parry was keen to set the record straight.
He said: "I did not give a comment to the Express for publication and any remark I have made has been totally misquoted.
"We have received a communication from the board, one which I cannot comment on any further at the moment.
"And I hope that something positive will arrive soon."
