WHEN most of the ugly mill chimneys were destroyed, we saw our once-beautiful landscape restored.
Now as we approach the new millennium, the threat of several wind farms, dotted all over the horizon, looms.
We seem to exchange one eyesore for another.
The need for pollution-free ways of producing energy are there -- but surely there are alternatives to spoiling the most beautiful countryside in our part of the world?
