A £1 MILLION question is being put to residents of Burnley's Daneshouse and Calder areas.

Local people and organisations are being asked how they would spend a million pounds on the area where they live.

Their answers will help form an action plan being drawn up by the Daneshouse and Calder Partnership, set up to help regenerate the area.

The Partnership's task is to obtain, manage and distribute European funding to encourage people to work together, help create jobs and training and set up local business and environmental projects.

Now it is inviting people to come forward with ideas and suggestions for using the money for the benefit of the local community.

Individuals and organisations are being encouraged to join the Partnership Board which also has representatives from businesses and local agencies.

Anyone who wants more information or is interested in becoming a member is asked to contact Shah Hussain on 0378 295157.
