POLICE are trying to trace the driver of a car which forced another off a country lane, injuring a woman passenger.

The incident happened at 1pm on Friday in Skipton Old Road, Colne.

Police said a blue Vauxhall Tigra overtook a farm vehicle and forced a Ford Escort into the nearside verge.

The Vauxhall then carried on without stopping.

Jennifer Crowther, 38, of Colne, a passenger in the Escort, was taken to Burnley General Hospital for treatment for whiplash, neck and back injuries but was released after treatment.

The Escort driver, Darrell Crowther, 37, also of Colne, was unhurt.
