PRETTY Jessica Schofield is heading for stardom as the nation's talented Mini Miss.
The eight-year-old, from Landsmoor Drive, Longton, has the chance to take on competition from all over the country.
Jessica - who took the Southport English Rosebud title in August 1997 - will represent the seaside town in the national Mini Miss UK competition at America World Theme Park, in Derby, on March 27.
The Longton Primary School pupil's grandmother Ada Cookson reckons she's a star in the making.
Mrs Cookson said: "She's got lots of confidence and loves being on stage."
The Mini Miss UK raises cash for the Wish Upon A Star children's charity.
