BLACKPOOL FC's managing director Gill Bridge continues to bring fans up to date with what's happening at Bloomfield Road.

This week she gives her opinion on Saturday's (Feb 20) lapse in form which saw the Seasiders go down 0-1 to Lincoln City at home - the first time the Imps have won here for 96 years ...

It certainly was a very disappointing result and a poor performance from the team on Saturday.

The players were kept in the dressing room for 45 minutes to be given what was no doubt a serious talking to.

They know better than anyone that this was not a performance to be proud of.

Left back John Hills was back to match fitness after his lengthy lay-off and played a full game, but it was a comeback he would probably rather forget.

What all the players have to do now is pick themselves up and make amends on Saturday (Feb 27) when we travel to Kenilworth Road to take on Luton Town.

The Hatters are just below us in the table and it will certainly be a classic six-pointer.

It is just a shame we will be without the services of club captain Tony Butler through suspension.

Off the pitch, our efforts to bring a loan player to the club were thwarted when Trevor Francis took umbrage at our request to do a deal on a player's wages.

We were hoping to snap up Birmingham City striker Howard Forrington following his successful loan spell at Plymouth, however, this was not to be.

With the number of possible suspensions mounting up it is more important than ever that we bring in new personnel to the club and our efforts will be intensified this week to try and do just that.
