CHORLEY welcome back Ian Leather, Eddie Hussin, Gary Thomas and Paul Jones from suspension for tomorrow's crucial trip to Blyth Spartans.

Manager Dalton Steele has never lost at Croft Park and the ex-Winsford boss is hoping his luck won't desert him now.

"It's going to be a tough game because they're a very physical side but I've never lost a game there and I hope that run will hold up.

"With the players we've now got at the club we'll certainly make the chances so we've just got to make sure we take them.

"But I'm very upbeat about the situation and with a lot of hard work and a rub of the green I think we'll stay up."

ACCRINGTON STANLEY boss Wayne Harrison is keeping his fingers crossed that Noel Horner will shake off a bout of food poisoning before the Reds trip to Gainsborough Trinity.

But Paul Bottomley, Aidan Warder, Ged Walsh and Paul Lynch will all definitely return to the squad after being cup-tied for last night's battling UniBond League Challenge Cup quarter final draw with Guiseley at the Crown.

"It's a very tall order now but we've still got to remain positive," admitted Harrison.

"I've not set any points targets - I can't afford to. "We've just got to treat each game individually and try and win as many as we can between now and the end of the season."

GREAT HARWOOD boss Denis Underwood will welcome back Dave Bennett and Mark Walsh for the visit of high-flying Hucknall Town.

Walsh returns from a one-match ban while Bennett is fit again after a spell out injured as the Reds aim to stretch their unbeaten run following last weekend's impressive draw at Witton Albion.

"Even when we were losing matches we weren't playing that badly," said Underwood.

"All we needed was a break and when that came against Matlock the results have started to follow.

"I know Hucknall are up near the top but we'll approach the game in the same way we would against anyone else."

CLITHEROE boss Steve Parry is spoilt for choice ahead of his side's showdown with fourth-placed Skelmersdale United at Shawbridge.

The goal-crazy Blues are on a roll after an astonishing purple patch which has seen them score 17 times in three matches.

Brian Welch, Zav Bowers and Carl Greenwood all missed Monday night's 5-1 mauling of Glossop North End but make a welcome return to the squad to join the chase for a top eight finish. "We've brought a few new faces in and it's keeping everyone on their toes," said Parry.

"Craig Dewhurst has given us something extra in midfield and we're starting to get some better service into the front men.

"But that's not just down to Craig, it's down to the team as a whole.

"Neil Ollerton also did very well on his debut against Glossop so that gives us another different option to think about.

"But it's going to be a different story against Skem. They've dropped off the pace recently and they'll be fighting hard to finish the season on a high."

COLNE boss Denzil Hart has defended his decision to release experienced midfielder Micky Halliday ahead of their home game with Ashton Town.

The veteran utility man only signed for the Holt House club last month but work commitments have put a stop to his career with the Reds.

"Sometimes you've got to let decent players go," said Hart.

"I wanted a certain level of commitment from Micky and he couldn't give it because his business commitments were getting in the way.

"One or two players have tried to take the Micky in the past in situations like this but that isn't the case here. We both agreed it was the right thing to do.

"I've got a job to do for Colne. I can't just pick a player in order to get him a game." Lee Murphy is also unavailable for tomorrow's clash as Colne aim to bounce back from two back-to-back league defeats.

BACUP BOROUGH'S hopes of building on Tuesday night's impressive demolition of Blackpool Mechanics could hinge on the fitness of three key players.

Manager Brent Peters was delighted by his side's midweek performance but Jason Rogers (ankle), Colin Lambert (hamstring) and Denny Khan (hamstring) are all doubtful for the trip to Chadderton.

"It's frustrating because we haven't been able to field a settled side all season," said Peters.

"We looked a lot better on Tuesday night. I made a few changes and both of the new lads that came in did exceptionally well.

"I'm very optimistic we can do that again against Chadderton provided I can put out the same team."

RAMSBOTTOM UNITED midfielder David Yorke-Robinson may quit football just weeks after battling back from a long-term injury. The 19-year-old playmaker only made his comeback two weeks ago after missing three months of the season with a knee injury.

But the former Oldham Athletic apprentice, who played an instrumental part in the Rams FA Cup run earlier this season, has rocked manager Ken Bridge with the news he wants to pack the game in.

"David hasn't been happy with his own form since he came back into the side. He feels like he isn't the same player," said secretary John Maher.

United are without a fixture tomorrow but victory for the reserves in their game against Castleton would all but clinch the Reserve Division title for the Rams.

NELSON have no game tomorrow.
