I WRITE to congratulate you and all the staff of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, for finishing runner-up in the Daily Newspaper of the Year section of the BT North West Press and Broadcast Awards.
I am delighted that the paper has also been rewarded for its excellent coverage of the Cancer Research Campaign with their regional media award.
It is the positive reporting of campaign events such as theirs which help raise awareness of the work of charities, and which make the Telegraph such a valuable and integral part of the local community.
