BILLINGE reached the final of the West Lancashire Cricket League's Walker Cup for the second year running after beating St Johns in fine style.
St Johns compiled an impressive 159 all out in the face of fine bowling from Tom Walsh (3-28) and Mike Grimes (3-31). But Billinge replied in fine style. Shaun Middlehurst his a marvellous 93 and brother Steve chipped in with 27 as Billinge reached 163-4. Billinge now meet Action in the final. In their league game on Saturday Billinge slipped to defeat at the hands of Goodlass.
