AFTER the success their senior seven-a-side team are having in the Barden Community Association League, Borrowdale United have formed a senior team to play in the open age Burnley Saturday League next season.
Most of the players have previously represented the club as juniors at various age-groups up to under-16s level.
United sent a total of nine teams to the Ribble Valley Soccer Sixes.
Their newly-formed Under Eights got to their age-group final, only to lose a good game 2-0, but the Under 16s went one better by winning their final against Blackburn-based Feniscowles.
All the lads did well and enjoyed the competition.
