AS a result of the pious fuss about the whites only organ donation, Frank Dobson is talking about legislation to prohibit any condition being attached to such donations.
But the supply of organs is not nearly adequate as it is and such legislation would reduce it.
Members of the medical profession interviewed on TV seemed horrified by the thought of such conditions being attached to donations.
It should be pointed out that some religions do not allow donation of organs for transplanting to anyone - yet they do benefit from transplants.
